What exactly
is a scholarship?
Scholarships are awarded by universities to students with strong academic and / or athletic performance and cover part of the study costs (partial scholarship) or the entire study costs (full scholarship). Through sponsors or their own financial reserves, universities provide the opportunity for students to attend university, while deciding on the amount of the scholarship.
Benefits of the
scholarship can include:
tuition fees
rent and meals
sport-specific costs (e.g. equipment, competition travel)
medical care (e.g., physical therapy)
other costs (e.g., textbooks, tutoring, health insurance)

Why are athletic
scholarships awarded?
Sports teams represent universities nationally and internationally. That is why there is great interest among university coaches in attracting the best athletes via scholarships to represent their university in competitions and tournaments in two associations (NCAA + NAIA). We would be happy to support you in obtaining a scholarship of this kind.
In the US, student athletes can pursue both their academic and athletic goals under highly professional conditions, which are made possible through the financial investments by the universities. Coaches and professors are in regular direct contact, which means that training and competition-related absences are expected and make-up exams or substitute assignments are communicated at an early stage.
What happens after graduation?
After graduation, many doors are open to student athletes. While many have found their way into professional sports through athletic scholarships, other former student athletes have become successful employees in American and German companies, which often seek the qualities in young people that a student athlete represents.
Even if you are not looking to take the next step right after graduation, the network of people you met during your studies will always be available to you.
